Does My Kia Come with a Spare Tire?

It used to be that every Kia vehicle came standard with a spare tire, but today, increased priority on fuel economy and trunk space have eliminated this feature. However, this has been replaced with a tire repair kit. Your new Kia may not come with a spare tire, but it does have the Kia Tire Mobility Kit (TMK) which comes with the tools you need to help with a flat should you find yourself on the side of the road in Carson. What is a Tire Repair Kit?

This tire repair kit comes with the necessary tools and equipment needed to temporarily patch or repair your Kia’s flat tire. Like many automakers, Kia phased out supplying spare tires in 2008, introducing the Kia Tire Mobility Kit in its place. Inside your Kia Tire Mobility Kit, you’ll find: 

  • Tire sealant 
  • A filling hose
  • A compressor 
  • A tire gauge
  • Necessary cables and hoses 

It’s important to note that this kit is great for a temporary fix for a Kia flat tire. This is not a permanent fix. How to Use the Kia Tire Mobility Kit

  • Use the compressor to inflate the tire
